University of Idaho researchers will present work on wildfire smoke, agricultural robots, injury prevention and other subjects during the fourth annual Power of Possibility Talks.
The event is scheduled for 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, in the Bruce M. Pitman Center International Ballroom. It will also be streamed online.
Eight faculty members will each have four minutes to present their research. The speakers are Barrie Robison, Leda Kobziar, Marz Everett, Tom Jacobsen, Joshua Bailey, Colin Xu, Nicholas Coombs and Andy Kliskey.
Christopher Nomura, the University of Idaho’s vice president for research and economic development, will emcee the event. Nomura said the program allows attendees to explore research areas they may not otherwise encounter.
After the final presentation, attendees may vote for their favorite talk. The winning presenter will receive a $2,500 grant.
Students attending in person will also be entered into a drawing for one of two $1,000 scholarships.
