Twin Falls city leaders announced plans this week to establish a permanent memorial honoring the three individuals killed during an Aug. 1 mass shooting at an In-N-Out drive-thru. The initiative seeks to create a dedicated space for remembrance, reflection, and healing for those impacted by the tragedy.
The gunman opened fire at the restaurant’s drive-thru lane, killing three people, including a man from Salt Lake City. Officials are currently raising funds to support the construction of the memorial. They are also collaborating with the victims’ families, survivors, and first responders to determine the final design and location of the site.
The project aims to provide a peaceful environment for the community to process the loss. By involving those directly affected in the planning process, city officials hope to ensure the memorial accurately reflects the experiences of the bereaved and those who responded to the crisis.
