A tractor operator was seriously injured Monday night after a collision on Highway 30 west of Buhl, Idaho.
The crash occurred just after 6:30 p.m. when a 2003 Mercedes-Benz rear-ended a westbound Kubota tractor. The impact left the 70-year-old tractor driver with serious injuries, prompting emergency responders to airlift him to St. Luke’s Medical Center for treatment.
The 37-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who resides in Buhl, sustained only minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including Idaho State Police, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Deputies, Buhl Police, Magic Valley Paramedics, and the Idaho Transportation Department. Officials noted that neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Highway 30 remained closed for several hours while crews cleared the wreckage and investigated the scene. Traffic resumed on the roadway just before midnight.
Law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
