The weather shift brings a noticeable cooldown for the weekend. Friday temperatures are projected to be 10 to 15 degrees cooler than previous days. Clouds are expected to increase overnight Friday, with a chance of scattered rain continuing into Saturday afternoon.
Despite the cooler trend, temperatures will remain above average as fall begins next week. The Magic Valley is experiencing fall-like conditions this weekend before the official season transition on Tuesday, September 22.
Temperature Outlook
Average daytime temperatures in the Magic Valley through Sunday are expected to hold at 73 degrees. Looking ahead, highs next week through Friday will average 82 degrees. Wednesday is forecasted to be the warmest day of that period.
The high temperature for Tuesday, the first official day of fall, will reach 80 degrees. The current stretch of warmer weather will end on Saturday as another low-pressure system passes through southern Idaho. Temperatures are expected to drop into the sixties with showers arriving by Sunday.
