The Idaho Transportation Department will close a major Twin Falls intersection at night starting Monday, Sept. 21, to complete paving work. Crews will shut down the five-point junction of Kimberly Road, Blue Lakes Boulevard, and Second Avenue from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for approximately one week.
During daylight hours, the intersection will remain open with one lane available in each direction. Flaggers will direct traffic during the overnight closure window. Drivers are advised to expect delays and follow instructions from construction personnel. Wide vehicles should avoid the area entirely while work is underway.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible to minimize congestion. The project aims to improve road conditions at this busy Magic Valley intersection with minimal disruption to daytime commuters.
