A crash on westbound Interstate 84 east of Exit 208 near Overland Avenue in the Burley area tied up traffic for much of Saturday before crews were able to clear the scene.
The incident was first reported at 4:31 a.m. and blocked the right lane of the interstate. Drivers heading westbound faced delays throughout the morning and were urged to use caution in the area. The roadway was fully cleared by 1:51 p.m., roughly nine hours after the crash was initially reported.
Officials had not released information on the cause of the crash or whether any injuries were sustained as of the time of clearance.
Travelers in southern Idaho have faced a number of roadway disruptions in recent weeks. A year-long resurfacing project on a Twin Falls stretch of Highway 30 got underway June 22, adding another consideration for Magic Valley drivers planning their routes this summer.
