The Gooding Senators secured a 41-34 victory over the Buhl Indians in varsity football action on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026.
The contest took place at Bowers Field in Buhl, where Gooding quarterback Cougar Stockham led the offensive charge with three rushing touchdowns. Stockham’s performance included a significant 74-yard scoring run that helped establish early momentum for the Senators.
Bridger Pope provided additional explosive plays for Gooding, recording a 54-yard catch-and-run during the matchup. The combination of Stockham’s ground attack and Pope’s big-play ability allowed Gooding to maintain control despite Buhl’s efforts to keep pace.
The Buhl Indians managed to stay competitive throughout the game, highlighted by defensive pressure from Kobe Ayala, who forced a fumble on Stockham. Despite the turnover, Gooding maintained its offensive rhythm and ultimately held off the home team for the win.
