Firefighting crews successfully stopped the forward spread of the Moore Fire burning near South Swan Falls Road in the Swan Falls area of Ada County, authorities confirmed Saturday evening.
Personnel were dispatched to the scene around 3:30 p.m. Saturday after the blaze ignited in the area. Resources deployed to the fire included two overhead personnel, four engines, two dozers, a water tender, and two fire investigators.
By Saturday night, Swan Falls Road had been reopened to traffic following the successful effort to halt the fire’s advance.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement reassuring those who recreate in the Swan Falls area, confirming that visitors are not in the active fire zone and are considered safe. Smoke, however, may remain visible across a broad portion of the surrounding area in the coming days.
The Swan Falls area is a popular outdoor recreation destination along the Snake River, drawing visitors for fishing, wildlife viewing, and sightseeing throughout the warmer months.
No injuries were reported in connection with the fire. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, as the resource deployment included fire investigators on scene.
