Twin Falls House Fire Injures Resident, Displaces Occupants on Alvarado Street
Fire Crews Respond Sunday Evening to Residential Blaze
A residential structure fire on Alvarado Street in Twin Falls sent at least one person to the hospital and forced multiple residents from their home Sunday evening, according to the Twin Falls Fire Department.
Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 6 p.m. to the 1700 block of Alvarado Street, where Battalion 1 arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the structure. Before firefighters could deploy hoses, neighbors had already begun using a garden hose in an attempt to hold back the flames — a civilian effort that helped limit the fire’s spread until a full response was underway.
Three fire engines worked in tandem to battle the blaze while crews simultaneously searched the home for anyone inside. One resident had already escaped before firefighters arrived on scene. That individual was later assessed by Magic Valley Paramedics and transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley for further medical evaluation and treatment.
A second ambulance was brought to the scene to support medical evaluations for those present, including monitoring firefighter safety throughout the operation. No firefighter injuries were reported in connection with the blaze.
