Early in-person voting for the November 3 general election begins Tuesday in Twin Falls County, joining Bannock County as the first jurisdictions to open their doors.
State law grants individual counties the authority to decide whether to offer early voting and to set their own start dates. While some of Idaho’s 44 counties do not provide early voting options, they still allow voters to cast absentee ballots in person.
In Twin Falls County, residents can head to designated polling locations starting Tuesday. Voters in Ada, Bonneville, Canyon, and Kootenai counties must wait until October 19 for their early voting periods to commence.
All early voting across the state concludes at 5 p.m. on October 30. Those planning to vote by mail rather than in person must request their absentee ballots by the end of the day on October 23.
