Twin Falls County Clerk Kristina Glascock announced that the deadline to pre-register for the November election is October 23. The announcement coincides with National Voter Registration Day, which falls on Tuesday, September 15.
Glascock emphasized the importance of verifying registration status before the upcoming vote. “It’s an exciting National day for people to check their voter registration,” Glascock said.
Registration Updates Required
Residents who have moved or changed their names must update their records to participate in the election. Voters are required to re-register and ensure their identification matches their current address.
“Re-register and make sure that you’ve updated your ID to your current address,” Glascock said.
First-time voters who are away from home may cast ballots if they are properly registered. College students who remain registered in their hometowns can request absentee ballots to be mailed to their college addresses.
The clerk’s office will begin mailing out ballots on Friday. Residents can manage registration and absentee ballot requests through the Vote Idaho website.
Voter Pamphlet Returns
Twin Falls County is reintroducing its voter pamphlet for the November election, a tool previously used during the May primary. The publication provides write-ups on candidates running for county-level offices and legislative positions.
The pamphlet also covers retention votes for College of Southern Idaho trustees and magistrate judges. This resource aims to help voters understand the specific measures and candidates appearing on their ballots.
Election Day Registration
Voters who miss the October 23 pre-registration deadline still have an option to participate. Residents may register and vote on Election Day, provided they present proper documentation and identification.
Sample ballots will be available online approximately one week after they are loaded into the system. Voters can view these actual sample ballots to prepare for their choices at the polls.
