Panera Bread plans Wednesday opening in Twin Falls

Panera Bread Set to Open Wednesday in Twin Falls, Idaho

Twin Falls, Idaho, is getting a new dining option this week. Panera Bread is scheduled to open its Twin Falls location on Wednesday, April 30, with doors opening at 7 a.m. and the café remaining open until 9 p.m., according to a news release. The new restaurant is located at 1657 Sun West Way in Twin Falls.

The opening marks a long-awaited arrival for the Magic Valley community. According to the company, Panera first intended to open a Twin Falls location approximately 10 years ago, but those plans fell through at the time.

Opening Day Perks and Community Fundraising

Panera is rolling out several incentives to draw customers on opening day. The first 100 guests through the door will receive a free “You Pick Two For A Year” certificate, giving early risers a compelling reason to show up when the café unlocks its doors Wednesday morning. A traditional bagette-breaking ceremony is also planned for that morning.

Beyond opening day, the Twin Falls location is offering a community fundraising program running from opening day through June 29. Local nonprofit organizations — including schools, sports teams, and scout groups — can host fundraising events at the Twin Falls Panera. During each qualifying event, Panera will donate 30 percent of net sales back to the participating organization. The program gives community groups a practical, low-effort way to raise funds while drawing their supporters to the new café.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Panera to Twin Falls and become part of this vibrant community,” a Panera representative said in a statement. “We look forward to serving our guests with the delicious food and warm, welcoming service Panera is known for.”

Modern Café Format, Local Jobs Created

The Twin Falls location features Panera’s modern café format, which the company describes as combining a streamlined footprint with updated ordering kiosks and a fully digitized menu. Designed with convenience in mind, the café offers limited counter seating and caters primarily to guests on the go. The location also includes a drive-thru.

The new restaurant is expected to employ between 25 and 30 team members, representing a modest but meaningful addition to Twin Falls’ local workforce. The opening is part of a broader pattern of commercial growth in the Magic Valley area. Two new hotels are also currently under construction in Twin Falls, signaling continued investor confidence in the region’s economic trajectory.

Panera Bread, known nationally for its soups, sandwiches, and baked breads, has also recently introduced a new “Mix & Match” value menu — its first dedicated value offering — which allows customers to build meals from 10 popular soups, salads, and half-sandwiches. The move is seen as part of a broader effort by the chain to strengthen customer appeal in a competitive fast-casual dining market.

The Twin Falls opening adds another option to a local dining scene that continues to expand. A new beer and wine bar is also expected to open soon in Twin Falls, reflecting the city’s ongoing growth in food and beverage offerings.

Twin Falls has seen steady commercial development in recent years, with businesses ranging from large-scale manufacturing interests to regional restaurant chains taking notice of the city’s growing population base and its role as the commercial hub of southern Idaho’s Magic Valley.
