Fatal Crash Under Investigation
A motorcyclist from Twin Falls died Friday evening following a collision on Highway 30 east of Filer, according to the Idaho State Police.
The crash occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. when a 39-year-old man riding a Harley-Davidson westbound on Highway 30 collided with a Nissan Frontier pickup truck. The pickup, driven by a 49-year-old Twin Falls man, had been traveling southbound on E 2600 N and was attempting to cross Highway 30 when the collision occurred.
The motorcyclist struck the side of the pickup during the crossing attempt. Emergency responders transported the rider to a hospital by ambulance, where he later died from his injuries.
Driver Taken Into Custody
The driver of the Nissan Frontier was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and did not require transport from the scene. State police reported that the pickup driver was medically cleared at a local hospital following the collision.
Authorities have taken the driver into custody. The Idaho State Police did not release additional details about potential charges in their initial statement.
Emergency Response and Road Closure
Multiple agencies responded to the scene Friday evening. The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, Filer Fire Department, and Magic Valley Paramedics assisted Idaho State Police with the emergency response and investigation.
Highway 30 was temporarily closed to traffic while investigators worked the scene. The roadway has since reopened to normal traffic flow.

The Idaho State Police continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. Authorities have not released the names of those involved pending notification of family members.
Investigators will determine whether charges will be filed against the pickup driver. The crash marks another fatal motorcycle accident on Magic Valley roadways during the spring riding season.
