Fatal Crash Friday Afternoon Near Twin Falls
A 39-year-old Twin Falls man died Friday after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on Highway 30 between Twin Falls and Filer, according to the Idaho State Police.
The accident occurred at approximately 5:25 p.m. on May 15 at mile marker 214. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Idaho State Police reported that the Twin Falls man was riding westbound on Highway 30 on a 2013 Harley-Davidson when the collision occurred. A 49-year-old Twin Falls man driving a 2017 Nissan Frontier was traveling southbound on East 2600 North and attempted to cross Highway 30 when the motorcycle struck the side of the pickup truck.
Driver Taken Into Custody
The driver of the pickup was medically evaluated at the scene and cleared before being taken into custody for his role in the accident. Authorities have not released the names of either individual involved in the crash.
The intersection where the crash occurred is bordered by open fields on the north and south corners to the east. A residential home sits on the southwest corner, while an auto repair shop occupies the northwest corner where the pickup would have been positioned before crossing the highway.
Investigation Ongoing
The Idaho State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. No additional details about potential charges or the cause of the accident have been released at this time.

Authorities will complete their investigation and determine whether criminal charges will be filed against the pickup driver. The Ada County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased motorcyclist once family notifications are complete.
