A free wheelchair and mobility equipment repair service is coming to Twin Falls on Wednesday, bringing specialized repair capabilities directly to people who depend on wheeled mobility devices.
Idaho Living Independence Network Corporation operates Wheel Fix It On the Go, a mobile repair trailer that eliminates barriers faced by individuals with disabilities who need equipment servicing. The program addresses a significant gap in rural and underserved areas, where lengthy travel distances and limited local repair options have historically forced residents to go without functioning mobility aids for extended periods.
The trailer will be stationed at Sunnyview Court Assisted Living Center, 1779 Addison Ave. E, Twin Falls, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on July 16. Repairs are provided at no cost to participants.
Services include repairs to wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility equipment, with trained technicians and full tool kits on site. The program is funded through a grant from the Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation, enabling the organization to deliver repairs across Idaho communities without cost to residents.
For individuals relying on mobility devices, equipment downtime can severely limit independence and quality of life. By bringing repair services directly to assisted living facilities and community centers, the program removes transportation obstacles that have prevented many Idahoans from accessing timely maintenance and repairs.
Residents of Sunnyview Court and surrounding Twin Falls County communities are invited to bring mobility equipment needing repair. Those with questions about specific repair needs can contact the facility or Idaho Living Independence Network Corporation for details on the scope of available services.
