Master Grill Moves from Terra Cotta Park to Main Street Location in Twin Falls

Sawtooth Valley, Idaho

A Twin Falls restaurant that launched just two months ago is already on the move, trading its Terra Cotta Park address for a spot on Main Street closer to the heart of the city’s business district.

Master Grill, owned by Jeff and Leslie Sackmaster and Chris and Jenny Freire, is relocating to a new Main Street address near Twin Falls City Hall and the Police Department. The owners have submitted all required permit paperwork and placed equipment orders, with a target opening in the first week of September.

The original Terra Cotta Park location debuted on June 18, meaning the restaurant will have operated at its first address for fewer than three months before making the move.

A Fresh Start on Main Street

Leslie Sackmaster explained the decision to branch out on their own after previous work experiences didn’t pan out as hoped. “A lot of personalities and they just didn’t mesh well. So we wanted to kind of open up our own place,” she told KMVT.

The new Main Street location appealed to the ownership group for its foot traffic and proximity to major employers and public institutions. “We like the location, Main Street, right down from City Hall, Police Department. I mean, there’s a lot of businesses nearby. So the traffic is gonna be great,” Sackmaster said.

The move places Master Grill in one of Twin Falls’ more visible commercial corridors, where lunchtime traffic from city offices, law enforcement, and neighboring businesses could provide a steady customer base. The Magic Valley economy has shown consistent strength in recent months, with eight industries driving wage growth across the region as it outpaces national employment trends — a backdrop that generally bodes well for new and relocating small businesses.

Expanded Menu and Family-Friendly Features

Along with the new address, the owners are rolling out an expanded menu. Additions include Phillies, chicken cheesesteaks, and popcorn chicken — the latter also joining the kids meal lineup alongside the existing grilled chicken strips option.

The new space will also feature a dedicated kiddie corner stocked with coloring materials, Hot Wheels cars, books, and playing cards, a detail that reflects the owners’ family-oriented outlook. Leslie Sackmaster is a mother of eight, and the family-friendly angle appears central to how the restaurant positions itself in the community.

Another planned feature is a vet wall — a designated area where customers can donate meals for military veterans. The concept taps into a tradition seen at a number of independent restaurants across southern Idaho, allowing patrons to pay it forward for those who have served.

What Comes Next

With permits filed and equipment on order, Master Grill’s owners are working toward a September opening at the Main Street location. The first week of September is the stated target, though the timeline depends on final inspections and delivery of the ordered equipment.

The relocation comes at a time when Twin Falls businesses are navigating rising operational costs. Gas prices in the area climbed 16 cents in a single week earlier this month, with diesel prices rising even more sharply — a factor that affects both food delivery costs and the budgets of the working families Master Grill hopes to attract.

Twin Falls residents looking for updates on the restaurant’s opening timeline can monitor the business as permit approvals move through city channels. If the September target holds, Master Grill will begin a new chapter on one of the city’s most trafficked commercial streets just as the fall season gets underway.
