I-84 Fully Reopened After Twin Falls Crash Involving Two Semis

Power transmission lines

Interstate 84 near Twin Falls reopened to traffic on Wednesday following a serious accident involving two semi-trucks at milepost 185. Both directions of the highway remained closed for roughly two hours while emergency responders worked at the scene.

One person was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. The Idaho State Police and emergency crews cleared the roadway and removed the damaged vehicles, restoring full traffic flow by early afternoon.

The closure caused significant delays for commuters and commercial traffic on one of the region’s busiest corridors. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Drivers in the Twin Falls area should remain alert for ongoing I-84 construction near the Twin Falls interchange, which continues through the summer months.
