U.S. Highway 93 traffic resumed normal flow Tuesday evening after a multi-vehicle crash blocked both lanes near Hollister, Idaho, for approximately three hours.
Idaho State Police responded to the intersection of U.S. 93 and East 3100 North at 3:41 p.m. on September 21, 2026. The collision involved a large commercial truck and a passenger minivan traveling northbound.
A 76-year-old woman from Wenatchee, Washington, was operating a 2007 Peterbilt truck carrying a 77-year-old male passenger. Ahead of the truck, a 47-year-old Boise resident drove a 2022 Honda Odyssey with three adult passengers.
According to police reports, the Honda driver attempted to turn west onto East 3100 North while the Peterbilt driver was in the process of passing. The maneuver resulted in a collision between the two vehicles.
All four occupants of the Honda Odyssey were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Magic Valley Paramedics and Air St. Luke’s responded to the scene alongside Twin Falls Fire Department and Salmon Tract Fire Department personnel.
The driver and passenger of the Peterbilt truck were not transported to medical facilities. Investigators noted that the 76-year-old truck driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while her passenger was properly restrained. All occupants in the Honda were wearing seat belts.
Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office assisted Idaho State Police at the scene as crews worked to clear debris and reopen the roadway. The intersection remained closed for about three hours before traffic could resume.
The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police. No further details regarding injuries or potential citations were immediately released.
