A 66-year-old Buhl woman died Monday night following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 700 North and U.S. Highway 93, north of Jerome.
According to the Idaho State Police, the woman was behind the wheel of a Ford F-150 traveling eastbound when she failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of a northbound Chevrolet Equinox. The two vehicles collided at the intersection, and the Buhl woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Equinox, a 60-year-old woman from Shoshone, was injured in the crash and transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Her condition was not immediately released.
The Idaho State Police are leading the investigation into the cause and circumstances of the collision. No additional details regarding road or weather conditions at the time of the crash have been released.
