A Twin Falls man riding a motorcycle died Friday evening following a collision on US-30 near Filer, and the driver of the other vehicle was later taken into custody, Idaho State Police announced.
The crash occurred around 5:25 p.m. at milepost 214 on eastbound US-30, just east of Filer. A 39-year-old Twin Falls man was operating a 2013 Harley-Davidson traveling westbound when a 2017 Nissan Frontier pulled onto the highway from E 2600 N, and the two vehicles collided.
Ground ambulance crews transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the Nissan Frontier, a 49-year-old Twin Falls man, was wearing a seat belt and did not require transport from the crash scene, though he was later medically evaluated at a local hospital. After being cleared by medical personnel, he was taken into custody. Authorities have not yet disclosed what charges he may face.
