Cutthroat Coffee and Old Town Deli Set to Open at Twin Falls’ 2nd South Market
TWIN FALLS — A pair of new vendors are preparing to open their doors inside 2nd South Market, adding fresh dining and coffee options to the popular Twin Falls food hall. Cutthroat Coffee and Old Town Deli moved their equipment into the market on Friday, with both businesses expected to be serving customers later this month.
The two concepts are being operated by three generations of the Craner, Bohannon and Henderson family, bringing a multi-generational small-business story to Twin Falls’ growing local food scene.
A Family Business Expanding Its Footprint
Cutthroat Coffee, which was established in 2024, has been running a trailer operation and will continue offering that service in the Grocery Outlet parking lot even as it expands into 2nd South Market. The move into the food hall marks a significant step for the brand, growing from a mobile setup into a permanent brick-and-mortar presence.
Layton Henderson, who manages Cutthroat Coffee, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion. “We are so excited to expand Cutthroat Coffee’s trailer operation into 2nd South Market and establish Old Town Deli here as well,” Henderson said. “We’re a third-generation family of restaurant operators, so joining 2nd South Market is really a dream come true for us.”
Old Town Deli will debut its first-ever Twin Falls location inside the market’s food hall, offering housemade deli classics prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The menu will also include gluten-free and low-carb options, broadening the appeal for health-conscious diners and those with dietary restrictions.
Growing Options in Twin Falls’ Food Hall Scene
2nd South Market has steadily built a reputation as a destination for locally driven food and community gathering in Twin Falls. The addition of Cutthroat Coffee and Old Town Deli continues that momentum heading into the summer season, when foot traffic across Magic Valley typically increases alongside tourism at regional attractions like Shoshone Falls, which is currently seeing peak flows through mid-May.
The dual opening reflects a broader trend of independent, family-run businesses choosing the food hall model as a lower-barrier entry point into the Twin Falls restaurant market. For the Henderson family, the arrangement offers an opportunity to establish Old Town Deli in a proven, community-supported environment rather than launching a standalone restaurant from scratch.
With both vendors now moved in and equipment in place, the market anticipates a late-May opening for the two concepts. No specific opening date has been announced, but the family indicated operations would begin within the coming weeks.
Twin Falls continues to see steady commercial activity across its food and retail sectors. Community events, local sports, and warm-weather gatherings — such as those that typically bring residents together this time of year — tend to boost foot traffic throughout downtown and surrounding commercial districts. Local community energy has been running high this spring, with residents rallying around several community-driven initiatives across the Magic Valley region.
What Comes Next
Cutthroat Coffee and Old Town Deli are expected to become operational at 2nd South Market before the end of May. Cutthroat Coffee’s trailer will continue serving customers at the Grocery Outlet parking lot location concurrently with the new market location. Residents interested in the opening timeline are encouraged to follow 2nd South Market’s official announcements for confirmed dates and hours of operation.
