Big fun in a small town: Adventure Garage Delivers

Adventure Garage Opens in Downtown Filer, Idaho, Bringing Family-Focused Fun to Small-Town Main Street

FILER, Idaho — A new business has taken root on Main Street in Filer, and its owners say it was built with the community in mind. Adventure Garage, located at 417 Main St., is now open and offering a wide range of activities designed for kids and families of all ages.

Co-owner Ashlie Shaddy and her fellow owners say the decision to plant their business in Filer was driven by a simple conviction: their hometown needed a safe, active place for kids and teens to spend their time. “Filer is our hometown,” the owners noted in remarks reported by the Times-News. “It’s a quickly growing community that needs a place for kids and teens to be active and safe.”

The new venture fills a gap that many small towns across Magic Valley and Twin Falls County have long felt — a dedicated indoor destination where families can gather, play, and stay active without traveling to a larger city.

Something for Every Age Group

Adventure Garage was designed with broad appeal in mind. For the youngest visitors, the facility features a dedicated soft play area for children ages zero to three. Older children can take on a 3,000-square-foot, 12-foot-tall playground complete with slides, an obstacle course, and a maze with climbing nets. A ball pit with an embedded obstacle course adds another layer of physical challenge and entertainment.

Teens and older visitors are not left out. The facility includes a dedicated teen space stocked with foosball, basketball, ping pong, Skee-Ball, air hockey, and board games. A snack bar offers a variety of food and drink options, rounding out the experience for families planning to spend several hours at the venue.

Cleanliness is also a stated priority for the owners. According to the Times-News, Adventure Garage invested in a ball pit cleaner and maintains a daily cleaning schedule. Parents are asked to keep their children clean while on the premises as well. Three family-style restrooms with diaper changing tables are available on site.

Affordable Access and Party Packages

Adventure Garage offers flexible pricing designed to accommodate families at various budget levels. A day pass for children ages one to four is priced at $7, while children five and older are $12. Parents and young adults accompanying a paying child are admitted free. Monthly memberships and family passes are also available for regular visitors looking to get the most value from repeat trips.

For families planning birthday parties or group events, Adventure Garage features a dedicated party room where pizza and drinks can be served. Optional add-ons include a cotton candy machine and decorations, giving parents a turnkey celebration option without leaving Filer.

The business model reflects what many in Twin Falls County have come to appreciate — private enterprise stepping in to provide community resources that keep tax burdens off local government while delivering real value to residents.

Filer has seen steady growth in recent years, and small businesses like Adventure Garage represent the kind of locally owned, family-centered investment that strengthens the fabric of rural Idaho communities. The owners emphasized that their goal is not just commercial success, but serving the families who call Filer home. Small towns across the Magic Valley have been working to expand recreational and community options, and Adventure Garage’s opening adds to that momentum. Twin Falls itself has also been investing in family-friendly spaces — the city recently celebrated Arbor Day and a revitalized public swimming pool, and the Twin Falls city pool reopened after a major renovation, signaling a broader regional push to improve quality of life for residents of all ages.

What Comes Next

Adventure Garage is now open to the public. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. The facility is located at 417 Main St., Filer, Idaho 83328. For more information, residents can call 208-326-9070 or visit the business online at adventuregarageidaho.com.

As Filer continues to grow, the owners say they remain committed to being a cornerstone of the community — a place where Idaho families can come together, stay active, and make memories without the drive to a bigger city.
