Magic Valley Communities Schedule Fireworks Shows From Late June Through Mid-July

Fire engine responding

Residents across Magic Valley won’t have to travel far to catch a fireworks display this Independence Day season, with communities from Twin Falls to Kimberly scheduling shows that stretch from late June well into July.

The centerpiece celebration falls on the Fourth of July itself, when Twin Falls hosts its annual fireworks show at the College of Southern Idaho on Thursday, July 4. It’s one of the region’s largest gatherings, drawing families from across Twin Falls County.

Shows Spread Across the Region

For those who can’t make it July 4th — or who simply want more than one show — the surrounding communities offer plenty of options in the days before and after the holiday.

Rupert kicks things off earliest, with a show at Rupert Square on Tuesday, June 30, followed by a second display there on Friday, July 5. Jerome also holds its celebration on July 5, launching fireworks at dusk from Jerome High School.

Saturday, July 6 is the busiest night of the season, with multiple communities lighting up their skies simultaneously. Buhl hosts its show at dusk at Boys and Friends, while Gooding launches fireworks from Gooding Middle School at dusk. Burley celebrates at Rivers Edge Park at dusk, and Fairfield holds its display at City Park, also starting at dusk.

Shoshone joins the July 6 lineup with fireworks at Ballpark Pocket Park at dusk, and Hailey hosts its celebration from Hailey High School at dusk as well.

One community on the July 6 schedule with a more precise start time is Filer, with its show set for 10 p.m. at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds — giving families a late-night option if they’ve already caught an earlier display elsewhere.

Kimberly Caps the Season in Mid-July

Kimberly wraps up the regional fireworks season with its show on Saturday, July 11, held at dusk at Kimberly High School. The later date gives the community its own distinct celebration rather than competing with the busier holiday weekend. Kimberly has remained an active community hub this summer, with FFA members and local youth programs keeping residents engaged well beyond the school year.

Families planning to attend multiple shows should note that most events list start times as “dusk,” which typically falls between 9:30 and 10 p.m. in late June and early July across southern Idaho. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure parking and seating, particularly at larger venues like CSI in Twin Falls.

What Comes Next

With the Fourth of July season now underway, Twin Falls County residents can also look forward to continued summer programming throughout the community. The downtown Twin Falls splash pad at Commons Park remains open as temperatures climb, and the city’s summer events calendar is expected to remain active through August. Check with individual communities for any updates to show times or locations as the holiday weekend approaches.
